SPOILERS INCLUDED I liked Colin as he is a nice guy who is jealous and possessive . He is also loving and totally in love with Tessa. A former manhoe I loved that he could not be with any women after her. (He tried within a few hours of meeting her but was unable to complete the act.) I did not read the first three books in the series and that was not a problem. This is the 4th book in the series, the prequel & first book is free. I did not read the first three books because according to reviews Tessa's first boyfriend Lucus cheated on Tessa, the h multiple times throughout the series. I don't like reading about cheaters. Colin, besides a minor role, did not appear until the 4th book.

Good things about the book include it was inexpensive at .99 , has a HEA and the Lucus and Tessa are devoted and faithful to each other. No one else will do for either of them.

There were some things I did not like about the book. I thought there was too much drinking. Also I thought the book dragged in parts and was too long. I feel the author could have ended the story a lot sooner. All of the main characters seemed too immature at times. Based on their behavior at times I felt like I was reading about teenagers. I believe they were that way because they were insecure. Overall it was a good read but nothing that I would reread.

I was Team Lucas then TeamCollin then back to Team Lucas, lol. Tessa is so emotional but at the same time so real. Lucas at first was a jackass but then I started seeing similarities of Lucas in Collin when it came to their attitudes. Such a great book. I'm so hooked.
I don't know why but I kept getting drawn to Lucas & Tessa getting back together... by I think the damage was too much. Then I slowly fell for Collin too. I still have that same feeling Tessa has and finally thought yeah this was what she needed. This whole series tore my heart out! Tears after tears and a smile here and there too but then more tears and finally happy tears!
When I started the first book I was just looking for something to read. I fell in love with Lucas and Tessa. The ending of that book made me cry so I just had to know that they got back together. It took me a little over a week to read the next three books, and it was an emotional roller coaster that you only get from life, but it was great! I skipped over the spin-off series, but plan on reading them, I just needed to know that Tessa and Lucas loved each other anyways. I am glad I started reading these!
After the way Sad Love ended I didn't know where MJ would take us next with Tessa and Lucas. Funny how Collin's background seemed kind of similar to Lucas with the way he was raised or not raised. Of course everyone is older now and Tessa finally took some time to herself, not much but the idea of it at least. I fell in love with Collin in this book, he was a bit messed up but probably equal to Tessa in passion. I also enjoy the rest of the characters following along in this story her family and friends. Lucas will always be in her heart and she in his. I liked the epilogue wrapping up some stories, but then super happy to see another book out there 20 yrs later.
If I could just one word about this it would be COLLIN ohhh I love this book I think it is my favorite collin is hot sexy smart and powerful man and he has the hot's for miss tessa he wants her bad and tessa feels the same about him she thinks he is hot and sexy and arrogant but she has been hurt so bad by lucas she has a hard time trusting him at first she is super sassy that what I love about her and she loves with her whole heart she dont like to hurt anyone I did more laughing I this book than crying dont get me wrong there r some sad parts in this book but lots of happy times collin gets along with her family he fellin love with from the first time he seen her I LOVE THIS BOOK so great collin and tessa forever
The author spent nearly three books developing a stormy, passionate relationship between a loving, forgiving woman and a deeply flawed man who essentially raised himself from the age of three. Then she utterly destroyed that relationship and built new relations with different people in a fourth book. What a waste of my time. With five or six pages background about Lucas and Tessa, this book could stand alone. The book is also seriously in need of editing.
A couple of things, I really liked this book. Loved the family and how close they all were. I loved Collin and how he overcame so much, and in turn paid it forward, loved how he loved Tessa, and then his kids and life with her as well as his extended family. Tessa, I really liked for Collin, but honestly she got on my nerves a bit, I can totally understand caring about people especially if you've been with them for a long time in relationships and such but her's was way over board and not fair to Collin at times. Like her character in general and how she was there to help everyone.

All in all, good read and great story by MJ Fields
