I believe that everyone has a soulmate in this world and sometimes I think you meet the person who is meant to change your life but your just not ready for that kind of commitment. This would be the case with Jessie and Jules. They have known each other forever and have shared an unbreakable bond until Jules shares something with Jessie that he doesn't quite know how to handle. The result is both of them going their separate ways, until a tragedy brings them both back together. I literally felt every emotion in this book. It was so beautifully written and I had a hard time putting it down. I laughed, cried and screamed at my kindle throughout Jessie and Jules story. For me, this is what makes a book so good! When you can relate to the story and the characters literally tug at your heartstrings! If you are a fan of second chance romances, swoonworthy moments and memorable characters that you won't soon forget then you need to check this book out ASAP!!!! Trust me you don't want to miss out on this one!

Yesterday Is Gone The Yesterday Series Book 1 edition by HJ Bellus Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Yesterday is Gone is the perfect depiction of small-town living where everyone knows everyone else's business. This is a second chance romance where we see if Jessie and Jules can get past a very bad decision of days gone by.
I loved seeing the world through Whit's perspective. Her misspoken words were a great touch.. So realistic! She made me laugh, smile and everything in between.
Experiencing Jessie attempting to regain the trust he lost with Jules and trying to build a relationship with Whit was heartbreaking at times yet I found myself cheering him on!
Can the past be left in the past? Can they #letitgo #shakeitoff #moveon?
Jules is a very protective of Whit and rightly so. Don't ever cross that line or attempt to corner #MommaBear
A great read that kept the pages turning. My heart is happy. The characters were amazing! I sure hope Max gets his story told.
The boy who broke her heart is the man who will heal her. I love second chance romances more than any other. I hope every character gets their own book. There are lots of story line possibilities here.
I bought this book late last night. I didn't get to read it last night but I did today. I'll admit I stole quite a few moments while I was supposed to be working. But I couldn't help my self. It was that good. It had me hooked from the first word. I didn't want to put it down. I was reading the reviews and I was concerned about what Jessie did and my thoughts were going towards cheating. But let me squash that. There's no cheating. But what Jessie said made me hate him. What he did was unfathomable. It was probably the most hateful thing to say. I was very angry with him. Jules didn't keep a secret. Jessie knew. I don't think I could ever forgive him. But Jules did. She was such a strong character. I liked her immediately. Jessie ended up growing on me and definitely grew as a character. I ended up really liking him. I really enjoyed the dual POV. These are my favorite. I really enjoy reading them. It seems so much more personable.
The parts that got me the most were The table. The set table made me just sit there are cry. It was the sweetest, most adorable vision. Next is when Whit asks Jessie "Are you still busy". Again the tears flowed. And lastly, the lemonade stand. Tears streaming down my face just thinking about it.
This book is about forgiveness. It's about love and acceptance. It's about growth. Out of all the books I have (I believe I have 9) this is by far the best. I absolutely loved this book. I love how I feel. I loved how I felt throughout the entire book. This was such a fantastic read.
I'd highly recommend it. Like 100% on board with one click worthy!
Bellus is a new author to me so I thought I’d take a chance on this book, and I'm really glad I did. I loved this angsty, second chance story! Jules and Jessie were best friends growing up, and high school sweethearts, until Jules shares something with Jessie and he ends up breaking her heart. He goes off to college to pursue his football career and she leaves the small town of Boone, never to return again. But now her grandfather has died and her Nana needs her, so Jules returns home for the first time in five years. It takes no time at all for Jessie to realize he has a daughter, and he’s determined to do anything it takes to right his stupid mistake, win Jules back, and make a life with her.
This. This is everything an evocative, heartfelt, emotional romance read should be. I need to warn you to skip the next paragraph if you don’t want what some might consider spoilers. Personally, I don’t think this integral point is a spoiler, and I really can’t review this book without telling you about this, especially since a lot of readers love this particular trope and it would sell them on this book. If you don’t want the spoiler, pick up reading at the next ***.
In addition to a second chance between two people who never stopped loving each other, we have an adorable kid who really helps make the book. Little Whit was hilarious and larger than life (although I take exception to adults swearing around a five-year-old) and she stole the show numerous times. Although Jules struggled with being back home, Whit thrived under the attention of a new dad, his parents and Nana. Whit and Jessie were too cute for words together and she played a significant part in Jules and Jessie resolving things, as well as helping Nana move on from the death of her husband.
***The reservations and insecurities Jules had were certainly understandable, and Jessie had his work cut out for him to win her heart again. Of course the small-town gossip and the consummate mean girl didn’t help him any. Love doesn't overcome a lack of trust, and Jules had several reasons for mistrust. Jessie might have made some mistakes, but he certainly stepped up and gave everything to convince Jules to give him another chance. I loved these two characters, and their story was so vivid and believable I felt everything right along with them, so I was definitely pulling for them to find their forever.
Between dealing with the death of a loved one and the relationship between Jules and Jessie, this book fractured my heart, but it was the poignant secondary character Max who obliterated it and turned it to dust. His part was small but pivotal and powerful, and I would love to see him have his own book one day, because it would be spectacular. His part is the icing on the cake of this wonderful, sexy, heartwarming, inspiring read that you won’t want to miss!
